Teleply Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 31, 2026
Teleply (遥应, “we”) is run by Zeng Huanyu (曾环宇). Teleply lets you follow and answer the AI coding assistants running on your own computer from your phone. This policy says what our server keeps, what it passes along, who else gets anything, and how to delete it.
1. Your conversations are not kept on our server
The conversations you read and the text, photos, files and voice you send travel between your phone and your own computer. Our relay server (Alibaba Cloud, Guangzhou, China) only forwards them and does not store them. Everything travels over HTTPS, but this is not end-to-end encryption: content is decrypted on the relay before it is forwarded. We do not read or keep it.
2. What the server keeps
- Account: an account ID, the email address you link, and a scrypt hash of your password (never the password itself).
- Sign-ins: hashes of sign-in tokens, which expire after 7 days.
- Your computers: each computer’s name and a hash of its connection key.
- Traffic counts: per computer and day, the number of requests and bytes sent and received, to prevent abuse and find problems.
- Notifications: when you turn on Teleply notifications on an iPhone, its push token (issued by Apple), model name, app version and language. To show progress on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, the titles and states of running conversations are kept until a day after they stop changing.
- Abuse limits: hashed records of IP addresses and accounts, kept for at most 24 hours, to limit requests that come too fast.
- Email checks: hashes of verification codes, which expire after 30 minutes.
The relay service keeps no access logs.
3. What goes to others
- Alibaba Cloud hosts our server and installer downloads.
- Apple Push Notification service: with notifications on, the notice (app name, computer name, conversation title and state) reaches your iPhone through Apple.
- Email provider: verification emails pass your address and the code through our mail provider.
- Programs on your computer: what you send from the phone ends up with the AI coding assistants and speech service on your computer. You install and set them up yourself; their own privacy policies apply, and we are not involved.
- iPhone speech recognition: when your computer has no speech service, Teleply uses the iPhone’s own speech recognition, which Apple handles under its rules.
We do not sell your information, track you for advertising, or use third-party analytics.
4. What stays on your phone
Sign-in tokens are kept in the system’s encrypted storage (the iPhone Keychain, Android’s encrypted storage); drafts and settings stay on the phone and are not uploaded.
5. Permissions
Camera: to send a photo to a conversation on your computer. Microphone and speech recognition: voice input. Notifications: progress alerts. Each is asked for only when you use that feature and can be turned off in the system settings at any time.
6. Deleting your account and data
In the app, open Settings → Account → Delete Account; on the web, open the menu at the top right of “My Computers” and choose Delete Account. After you confirm with your password, your account, email, sign-ins, computers, traffic counts and notification settings are deleted from the server at once and cannot be restored. Files and conversations on your computer are not touched.
You can also write to us to see, correct or delete your information.
7. Children
Teleply is meant for adults. Children under 14 should not sign up.
8. Changes and contact
Changes to this policy are posted on this page with a new date. Questions: 390116927@qq.com.
